Anti-BOR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BOR is a known alias name of the protein cell division cycle associated 8, encoded by the CDCA8 gene in humans. This 280-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC), a complex that acts as a key regulator of mitosis. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon.
