Anti-BETA4-GALT-IV antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BETA4-GALT-IV antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the B4GALT5 gene, which encodes beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase 5. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of BETA4-GALT-IV has a canonical amino acid length of 388 residues and a protein mass of 45.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. This target antigen may also be known as beta4Gal-T5.
