Anti-ALS8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ALS8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the VAPB gene, which encodes VAMP associated protein B and C. This protein is known to function in Golgi transport and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological roles. The human version of ALS8 has a canonical amino acid length of 243 residues and a protein mass of 27.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as VAMP-B. Indicated applications for ALS8 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
