Anti-ATPIM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ATPIM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ATP8B4 gene, which encodes ATPase phospholipid transporting 8B4 (putative). This protein is known to function in Golgi organization and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of ATPIM has a canonical amino acid length of 1192 residues and a protein mass of 135.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. ATPIM is a member of the Cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) protein family.
