Anti-RPB5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RPB5 is a known alias name of the protein RNA polymerase II, I and III subunit E, encoded by the POLR2E gene in humans. This 210-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein stabilization and transcription by RNA polymerase II, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term RPABC1 is another synonym for RPB5. Western Blot is the most common application for the RPB5 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
