Anti-Myc Target 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MYCT1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 235 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the MYCT1 protein family, it is believed to regulate certain MYC target genes, MYC seems to be a direct upstream transcriptional activator. Other names for this target antigen include myc target in myeloid cells 1, myc target in myeloid cells protein 1, and myc target protein 1. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Myc Target 1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
