Anti-SERS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SERS is a known alias name of the protein seryl-tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial, encoded by the SARS2 gene in humans. This 518-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the attachment of serine to tRNA(Ser). It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
