Anti-ZAC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ZAC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLAGL1 gene, which encodes PLAG1 like zinc finger 1. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of ZAC has a canonical amino acid length of 463 residues and a protein mass of 50.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. ZAC is a member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.
