Anti-OCAB antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target OCAB is a known alias name of the protein POU class 2 homeobox associating factor 1, encoded by the POU2AF1 gene in humans. This 256-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcriptional coactivator that specifically associates with either POU2F1/OCT1 or POU2F2/OCT2. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to have b-cell specific expression. Other synonyms for OCAB include BOB1, BOB1, and OBF-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the OCAB antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
