Anti-hBrm antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target hBrm is a known alias name of the protein SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 2, encoded by the SMARCA2 gene in humans. This 1590-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated and cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for hBrm include BAF190, BIS, and BRM.
