Anti-rC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target rC is a known alias name of the protein regucalcin, encoded by the RGN gene in humans. This 299-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pathways of aging and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the pancreas, liver, duodenum, and adrenal gland. Indicated applications for rC antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
