Anti-Nav1.9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Nav1.9 is a known alias name of the protein sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 11, encoded by the SCN11A gene in humans. This 1791-amino acid residue protein is known to mediate the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the dorsal root ganglia and trigeminal ganglia, olfactory bulb, hippocampus, cerebellar cortex, spinal cord, spleen, small intestine and placenta. Other synonyms for Nav1.9 include FEPS3, HSAN7, and NAV1.9.
