Anti-HYL1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HYL1 is a known alias name of the protein epoxide hydrolase 1, encoded by the EPHX1 gene in humans. This 455-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a biotransformation enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of arene and aliphatic epoxides to less reactive and more water soluble dihydrodiols by the trans addition of water (By similarity). It is localized to the ER of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, pancreas, lung, liver, and adrenal gland. Other synonyms for HYL1 include EPHX, EPHX, and EPOX. A number of HYL1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
