Anti-E2 protein antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the E2 protein antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UBE2B gene, which encodes ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 B. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and DNA damage pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of E2 protein has a canonical amino acid length of 152 residues and a protein mass of 17.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cell membrane of cells. Other names for this target antigen include E2-17kDa, HHR6B, and HR6B. Indicated applications for E2 protein antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
