Anti-TAP26 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TAP26 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CCDC59 gene, which encodes coiled-coil domain containing 59. This protein is a known component of the transcription complexes of the pulmonary surfactant-associated protein-B (SFTPB) and -C (SFTPC). The human version of TAP26 has a canonical amino acid length of 241 residues and a protein mass of 28.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, vagina, and breast. TAP26 is a member of the TAP26 protein family.
