Anti-RNF74 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RNF74 is a known alias name of the protein recombination activating 1, encoded by the RAG1 gene in humans. This 1043-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a catalytic component of the RAG complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates the DNA cleavage phase during V(D)J recombination. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. The term V(D)J recombination-activating protein 1 is another synonym for RNF74.
