Anti-TMCO5A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane and coiled-coil domains 5A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 288 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. It is a member of the TMCO5 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include testicular tissue protein Li 205, transmembrane and coiled-coil domains 5, and transmembrane and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 5A. TMCO5A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some TMCO5A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
