Anti-S1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target S1 is a known alias name of the protein proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 1, encoded by the PSMD1 gene in humans. This 953-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for S1 include P112, P112, and Rpn2. Indicated applications for S1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
