Anti-PTPG antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PTPG antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTPRG gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type G. This protein is known to function in brain development and protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of PTPG has a canonical amino acid length of 1445 residues and a protein mass of 162 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells. This target antigen may also be known as HPTPG. Indicated applications for PTPG antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
