Anti-LFA2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LFA2 is a known alias name of the protein CD2 molecule, encoded by the CD2 gene in humans. This 351-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and receptor-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in natural killer cells. The term SRBC is another synonym for LFA2. Some LFA2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Flow Cytometry experiments, among other applications.
