Anti-CD328 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD328 is a known alias name of the protein sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 7, encoded by the SIGLEC7 gene in humans. This 467-amino acid residue protein is believed to be an adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, and bone marrow. Other synonyms for CD328 include AIRM-1 and AIRM1.
