Anti-ADH-5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADH-5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADH6 gene, which encodes alcohol dehydrogenase 6 (class V). This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of ADH-5 has a canonical amino acid length of 368 residues and a protein mass of 39.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the rectum, liver, gallbladder, duodenum, and colon. This target antigen may also be known as alcohol dehydrogenase 6. A number of ADH-5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
