Anti-Alpha4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Alpha4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IGBP1 gene, which encodes immunoglobulin binding protein 1. This protein is known to function in the regulation of apoptosis and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of Alpha4 has a canonical amino acid length of 339 residues and a protein mass of 39.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as IBP1. Indicated applications for Alpha4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence.
