Anti-Bv8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Bv8 is a known alias name of the protein prokineticin 2, encoded by the PROK2 gene in humans. This 129-amino acid residue protein is believed to function as a an output molecule from the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) that transmits behavioral circadian rhythm. The protein is secreted and features post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the testis and, at low levels, in the small intestine. Indicated applications for Bv8 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
