Anti-AEN antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein apoptosis enhancing nuclease. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 325 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. AEN is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include interferon stimulated exonuclease gene 20kDa-like 1 and interferon-stimulated 20 kDa exonuclease-like 1. AEN gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the AEN antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
