Anti-BGP antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The BGP antigen is another term for the human protein bone gamma-carboxyglutamate protein, encoded by the BGLAP gene. The protein is known to function in pathways of aging and bone development, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 100 residues and a mass of 11 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein. The BGP protein is a member of the Osteocalcin/matrix Gla protein family.
