Anti-Tyki antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tyki is a known alias name of the protein cytidine/uridine monophosphate kinase 2, encoded by the CMPK2 gene in humans. This 449-amino acid residue protein is believed to participate in dUTP and dCTP synthesis in mitochondria. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for Tyki antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
