Anti-TSC-36 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TSC-36 is a known alias name of the protein follistatin like 1, encoded by the FSTL1 gene in humans. This 308-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a secreted glycoprotein that is involved in various physiological processes, such as angiogenesis, regulation of the immune response, cell proliferation and differentiation. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in synovial tissues from rheumatoid arthritis. Other synonyms for TSC-36 include FRP, FSL1, and MIR198. Some TSC-36 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
