Anti-Trk1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Trk1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NTRK1 gene, which encodes neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase 1. This protein is known to function in pathways of aging and axon guidance, among other biological roles. The human version of Trk1 has a canonical amino acid length of 796 residues and a protein mass of 87.5 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the cerebral cortex and testis. Trk1 is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family.
