Anti-CYP3A5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome P450 family 3 subfamily A member 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 502 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Cytochrome P450 protein family, CYP3A5 is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase involved in the metabolism of steroid hormones and vitamins. Synonyms for this target antigen include CYPIIIA5, P450PCN3, PCN3, cytochrome P450 3A5, aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase, and CP35. CYP3A5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. A number of CYP3A5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
