Anti-Cytokeratin 25 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Cytokeratin 25 is a known alias name of the protein keratin 25, encoded by the KRT25 gene in humans. This 450-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the proper assembly of type I and type II keratin protein complexes and formation of keratin intermediate filaments in the inner root sheath (irs) (By similarity). It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in skin and scalp, and weak expression observed in thymus and tongue. Other synonyms for Cytokeratin 25 include keratin, type I cytoskeletal 25, CK-25, and K25. Indicated applications for Cytokeratin 25 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
