Anti-HLAB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HLAB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HLA-B gene, which encodes major histocompatibility complex, class I, B. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of HLAB has a canonical amino acid length of 362 residues and a protein mass of 40.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AS and B-4901. Flow Cytometry is the most common application for the HLAB antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
