Anti-FOG1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FOG1 is a known alias name of the protein zinc finger protein, FOG family member 1, encoded by the ZFPM1 gene in humans. This 1006-amino acid residue protein is a reported transcription regulator that plays an essential role in erythroid and megakaryocytic cell differentiation. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be mainly expressed in hematopoietic tissues. Other synonyms for FOG1 include zinc finger protein ZFPM1 and friend of GATA 1.
