Eosinophil derived neurotoxin, or Ribonuclease, RNase A family, 2 (liver, eosinophil-derived neurotoxin), is a human gene encoded by RNASE2. It may also be known as: Non-secretory ribonuclease; RNase UpI-2; Ribonuclease 2; RNase 2; Ribonuclease US; Eosinophil-derived neurotoxin; Non-secretory ribonuclease ; EDN; RAF3; RNS2. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 161 and a mass of 18.4 kDa. Eosinophil derived neurotoxin is a member of the Pancreatic ribonuclease family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Fly.
