Anti-SLC15A3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 15 member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 581 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes. It is notably expressed in the urinary bladder, spleen, lung, gallbladder, and bone marrow. A member of the Proton-dependent oligopeptide transporter (POT/PTR) (TC 2.A.17) protein family, SLC15A3 is known to be involved with innate immune responses and the transport of ions. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PHT2, PTR3, osteoclast transporter, peptide transporter 3, peptide/histidine transporter 2, and OCTP. SLC15A3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the SLC15A3 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
