Anti-MRPL28 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L28. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 256 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Bacterial ribosomal protein bL28 protein family, MRPL28 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation and protein translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include p15, L28mt, melanoma antigen p15, and MAAT1. MRPL28 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPL28 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
