Anti-SLA/LP antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SEPSECS, or 'Sep (O-phosphoserine) tRNA:Sec (selenocysteine) tRNA synthase' in humans. The 501-amino acid protein is a member of the SepSecS family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
