Anti-JHDM1A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target JHDM1A is a known alias name of the protein lysine demethylase 2A, encoded by the KDM2A gene in humans. This 1162-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-36' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed, with highest levels in the brain, testis and ovary, followed by lung. Other synonyms for JHDM1A include CXXC8, FBL11, and FBL7. Indicated applications for JHDM1A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
