Anti-PABP4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PABP4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PABPC4 gene, which encodes poly(A) binding protein cytoplasmic 4. This protein is known to function in protein translation, among other biological roles. The human version of PABP4 has a canonical amino acid length of 644 residues and a protein mass of 70.8 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PABP4 is a member of the Polyadenylate-binding protein type-1 protein family.
