Anti-CARMA1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CARMA1 is a known alias name of the protein caspase recruitment domain family member 11, encoded by the CARD11 gene in humans. This 1154-amino acid residue protein is a reported adaptor protein that plays a key role in adaptive immune response by transducing the activation of NF-kappa-B downstream of T-cell receptor (TCR) and B-cell receptor (BCR) engagement. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in adult peripheral blood leukocytes, thymus, spleen and liver. Other synonyms for CARMA1 include caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 11, CARD-containing MAGUK protein 1, and bcl10-interacting maguk protein 3.
