Anti-BORG5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BORG5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CDC42EP1 gene, which encodes CDC42 effector protein 1. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell shape, among other biological roles. The human version of BORG5 has a canonical amino acid length of 391 residues and a protein mass of 40.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the stomach and testis. BORG5 is a member of the BORG/CEP protein family.
