Anti-Hakai antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Hakai is a known alias name of the protein Cbl proto-oncogene like 1, encoded by the CBLL1 gene in humans. This 491-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and the regulation of cell migration, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
