Anti-Gm88 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Gm88 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GOLGA8A gene, which encodes golgin A8 family member A. This protein is known to function in Golgi organization, among other biological roles. The human version of Gm88 has a canonical amino acid length of 631 residues and a protein mass of 70.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the rectum and small intestine. Other names for this target antigen include CFAP286 and FAP286.
