Anti-Ferritin light chain antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FTL in humans. The Ferritin light chain protein has a reported amino acid length of 175 and an expected mass of 20 kDa. The protein may also be known as Ftl1, LFTD, NBIA3, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and ferritin L subunit. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine and monkey.
