Anti-TrpRS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TrpRS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the WARS2 gene, which encodes tryptophanyl tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial. This protein is known to function in the regulation of angiogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of TrpRS has a canonical amino acid length of 360 residues and a protein mass of 40.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include NEMMLAS and PKDYS3.
