Anti-Myoneurin antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MYNN gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 610 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be mainly expressed in the neuromuscular system. A member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, it is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Other names for this target antigen include zinc finger and BTB domain-containing protein 31 and zinc finger protein with BTB/POZ domain.
