Anti-Epoc-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Epoc-1 antigen is another term for the human protein POU class 2 homeobox 3, encoded by the POU2F3 gene. The protein is reported to be a transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') and regulates cell type-specific differentiation pathways. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 436 residues and a mass of 47.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is notably expressed in epidermis and cultured keratinocytes. The Epoc-1 protein is a member of the POU transcription factor protein family. Other alias names for Epoc-1 include OTF-11 and PLA-1.
