Anti-PGR2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PGR2 is a known alias name of the protein G protein-coupled receptor 142, encoded by the GPR142 gene in humans. This 462-amino acid residue protein is categorized as a type of orphan receptor. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the central nervous system, most abundantly in the ventrolateral region of caudate putamen, the habenular nucleus, the zona incerta, and the medial mammillary nucleus.
