Anti-SAC2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SAC2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the VPS52 gene, which encodes VPS52 subunit of GARP complex. This protein is known to act as component of the GARP complex that is involved in retrograde transport from early and late endosomes to the trans-Golgi network (TGN). The human version of SAC2 has a canonical amino acid length of 723 residues and a protein mass of 82.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. SAC2 is a member of the VPS52 protein family.
