Anti-TRIM38 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 38. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 465 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. TRIM38 is known to be involved with innate immune responses and autophagy pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include RORET, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM38, RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase TRIM38, Ro/SSA ribonucleoprotein homolog, and RNF15. TRIM38 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of TRIM38 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
